Is AI Calc Sheet a Mathcad replacement?
It is a focused alternative for structured engineering calculation packs: visible formulas, engineering units, controlled rows, reusable trees and consistent PDF output. It is not intended to reproduce free-position page layout, symbolic mathematics, solvers, statistics or charts.
Does the AI change my calculation automatically?
No. The assistant can construct a candidate calculation or propose changes, but the server validates that candidate and shows a review before an authorised engineer applies it. Checked-in revisions cannot be edited.
Who is responsible for the engineering?
The user and their organisation remain responsible for selecting methods, checking inputs, reviewing results and deciding fitness for purpose. The product assists engineering work; it does not certify designs or replace competent professional judgement.
Can a lone engineer use it?
Yes. Signup creates a ready-to-use personal organisation with no team configuration. You can invite colleagues and add organisation-wide templates later.
Can parent values be reused by child calculations?
Yes. Values defined higher in a calculation tree flow into descendants. Each child shows its inherited values and their source, and can define a nearer value when needed.
What happens when a trial or subscription ends?
The planned commercial behaviour keeps sign-in and read-only access available so customers can review their work and export their data. Editing, new PDFs and AI work require an active entitlement.
Where is customer data processed?
The application and initial database are hosted on a UK DigitalOcean server. Calculation data is server-authoritative. When a user deliberately invokes AI, the approved calculation context is sent through CodeMagician Ltd's OpenAI project under the disclosed external-processing terms.
Can projects be exported?
Yes. A current draft or selected immutable check-in can be exported as a self-contained AI Calc Sheet package and imported as a new project. PDFs are generated on request and are not retained as the source of truth.
